The Bubble Duo Bench by multidisciplinary artist and self taught metal fabricator Bert Furnari pairs sculptural metalwork with playful material contrast. Fabricated from powder coated aluminum, the bench features a fluid, biomorphic base that supports two cylindrical seats topped with vibrant ironed goat fur cushions. The juxtaposition of polished metal and tactile fur creates a striking visual and sensory experience, blending retro futuristic form with organic warmth.

Each piece is handcrafted by Furnari in his Easton, Pennsylvania studio, where raw sheets of aluminum are meticulously cut, shaped, welded, and finished by hand before being powder coated for durability and a refined surface. Known for integrating organic materials into his work, Furnari draws inspiration from patterns found in nature, creating functional objects that feel both sculptural and expressive. As with all of his creations, the Bubble Duo Bench is a one of a kind piece that reflects the artist’s dedication to craftsmanship, material exploration, and distinctive contemporary design.
