The Cambium Vase series is one of the pieces designed for the Dye Dye My Darling collection — a series of unique, mono-material works emerging from LoopLoop’s latest material research. Each piece is crafted from plant-dyed anodized aluminium, showcasing delicate colours and patterns developed through experimental techniques. This vase features a hand-made, plant-based pattern the artists have named Madder Sunrise — a high gloss marble-like effect first developed using roots of the Alkanet plant, then deepened with a final immersion in a bath of madder root dye — lending the surface its nuanced, purplish and warm pink hue and layered complexity.
