The Folding OBELISK III Light Sculpture 36" is a part of the Obelisk series from Optical Monuments - a collection exploring the intersection of refraction, diffusion, transparency, and myth. The Obelisk series uses optics to achieve a comforting warm glow, contrasted by sharp geometric refractions. Each piece acts as a beacon of light, which culminates at its top in a carved geometric expression. Each sculpted top - an abstracted architectural form - is layered with personal meaning accumulated over time. The Obelisk pieces come in 14in or 28in tall bedside/countertop size.
