Migdalia Salazar, a Venezuelan photographer and visual artist, hails from Caracas. Educated in Civil Engineering and Architecture at local universities, her creative spirit propelled her to study painting in Caracas and later Fashion Design in Milan and London. Photography, however, became her true calling, leading to 14 years of study in various global locations, including Canada and Miami, and through online courses. As a visual artist, she has explored the limits between art media and concepts. Nurtured by the constructivist art tradition, Salazar produces artworks combining photographs of architectural fragments with modular geometrical structures made of acrylic. Abstract and representative, her work defies the borders between photography and sculpture, being both simultaneously.
