Bert Furnari

Bert Furnari is a multidisciplinary artist and self-taught metal fabricator. He co-founded eleven20 Art Studios and Workshops in Easton, PA, where he operates a dynamic studio and metalworking shop.

Bert’s medium of choice is aluminum, celebrated for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, malleability, durability, and sustainability. Remarkably, aluminum is 100% recyclable, with over 75% of all aluminum ever mined still in use today—a testament to its enduring and environmentally friendly nature.

Each of Bert’s creations is a one-of-a-kind piece. He transforms raw sheets of heavy aluminum into striking forms using advanced metal-shaping and finishing techniques, executed with a meticulous eye for detail. His pieces are powder-coated, enhancing their durability while lending them a distinctive, polished aesthetic.

Bert often integrates organic materials such as wood, fabric, and fur into his designs, customizing them to harmonize with each piece. His retro-futuristic style draws inspiration from patterns and forms found in the natural world, from ocean depths to forest canopies and microscopic landscapes.

Bert’s work has been exhibited and collected across the United States, Europe, and Japan. His designs were featured in Design Milk’s coverage of the 2024 ICFF/Wanted Design and prominently showcased in Wallpaper Magazine’s video recap of NYC Design Week 2024. His pieces have graced a variety of iconic spaces, including luxury hotel lounges and private collections of renowned design enthusiasts.
