Negative Bench by Nick Missel
43 x 73 x 18 in
109.22 x 185.42 x 45.72 cm
Missel sees the work as a form of ‘cultural archeology’ choosing objects that sit on the periphery of our attention and wanting to give them new life. Like the negative of a photograph the objects maintain a similarity to their original form but transform to have their own identity.
